Travel . Immerse . Learn . Love . Serve

The Vibe Meraki mission is to TRAVEL to new places, IMMERSE in culture, CONNECT with unique souls from around the globe, LEARN about a place and its people to visually share their stories through photo & cinema, use my abilities to SERVE others, and to make a true effort in spreading as much light, love & positivity as possible along the way.

I want to encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone, adventure the world with purpose, and use these self-transforming experiences to grow, discover yourself & surpass your potential, all while giving back to the world around us.

I want to encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone, adventure the world with purpose, and use these self-transforming experiences to grow, discover yourself & surpass your potential, all while giving back to the world around us.

If every individual who dreams of traveling & experiencing the vast world we live in also dreamed of creating ways to give back to others within our world, imagine what kind of positive change we could create as a whole.

That vision is why I do my best to travel with purpose. As important as it is to experience things and places beyond what we know, giving back to the communities we travel to and experience is just as important.

The purpose of sharing my volunteer travels with you is to visually express why volunteer travel is not only an amazing way to travel & adventure the world, but how these worldly learning experiences can help you define who you are and lead you toward the path you were meant to live. I’d love nothing more than to invite you into my travel adventures and share with you how you too can get started on your own volunteer travel adventure of self-discovery.

Volunteer travel is an opportunity to learn about our world in a new, more connective and personal light. It’s an eye-opener like you wouldn’t believe. Let’s not forget it’s also an opportunity to start checking off those places & activities on your bucket list too!

Since each place is unique, the more we learn about a place and its people, the better we can figure out ways to give back. The best part is, you don’t need lots of money to give back. Many of us think of giving back as donating money or material things, but there are ENDLESS ways to give back.

You have so much to offer the world by just being you.

A huge reason I decided to begin sharing my volunteer travels is to remind us that EVERYONE has something special & unique to share with the world. Giving back doesn’t have to be monetary at all.

– Sharing your time to support a cause you care about can make an impact on the future of ourselves and others.

– Sharing something as simple as your good vibes can make a difference in someone’s day.

– Sharing knowledge or life stories can help to create a more positive perspective for someone.

– Educating others with your native language you already know so well can open doors of opportunity & create brighter futures for others.

– Sharing your creative art with the world through music, dance, design, entertaining and more, can bring inspiration & light to the lives of others.

– Kicking around a ball & using your natural social skills to be a friend to someone could be the best part of their day.

– Just being there. Listening and being present for someone through a difficult time can make all the difference.

You already have within you SO many special qualities worth sharing with the world

Personally, I am not a super talented person, and at first I really had no idea what I could offer through volunteering. Like, no idea. But one of the best things about volunteering is that in the process of giving back to others, you are growing and bettering yourself without even knowing it. By choosing projects completely out of my comfort zone, I learned to adapt to unfamiliar situations which gave me the opportunity to get to know myself better, work on my weaknesses and find out that I was capable of so much more than I ever thought.

I want to encourage you to give yourself the opportunity to seek your true potential too! Breaking free of comfort will lead you to learn so much more about yourself than you ever expected.

Stepping out of your comfort zone does something absolutely incredible to your soul.

We are all more than we think

We can spend so much of our lives thinking we know what we’re good at. But how do we really form these opinions of ourselves? If we all stop and think about the things that others have told us we are good at and not good at our whole lives… is it even really accurate to what we honestly feel about ourselves? Or is a big part of how we define ourselves influenced by outside opinions?

Just because we’re good at something doesn’t automatically mean that’s what we should do with the rest of our lives, unless we’re truly passionate about it and want nothing more than pursue our natural talent. But, I bet there are a lot of you out there like me, who have always been good at certain things, or told we were good at something in particular, but always wanted to do something totally different.  Something that just seemed so out of reach and unrealistic or too hard to achieve that we settled and became content doing what we’re “good at.”

But could there be more for us?

If we were to follow our heart and true desires, could we be living an even MORE meaningful life?

Giving ourselves the opportunity to experience different lifestyles & cultures changes the perspective we have of our own lifestyle & culture. Suddenly things like a phone, new clothes or new shoes may not be as important anymore.  Basics like clean drinking water and access to education start becoming even more valuable than they were before.

Taking a volunteer travel adventure has the ability to make us re-think what is truly most important to us. We better ourselves as humans by being open to learn and live in different cultures. We get to pick up our most favorite parts of each culture, embody them and share them with others- whether it’s a custom, a recipe, or a just a cool new word.

Volunteer travel really helps put life into perspective, and starts raising questions like, “Who am I really?” or “What do I really want to do with my life? How will I make my mark on this world?”

Opening up to new experiences and discovering more about who we are is addicting.

Addicting the way working to better ourselves & living up to our true potential should be.

My Goal

The confidence to follow my heart that I’ve gained through volunteer travelling has helped set me on the path I believe I was meant to live. It’s an amazing thing that I would absolutely LOVE for you to experience too!

If you’re thinking traveling costs too much money and you’ll never be able to afford going somewhere, I totally feel you. Working just to survive and pay bills is how I spent most of my life, and it took me a LONG time and major budgeting to save for my first trip. But I can tell you it was so much more than worth it. It has literally changed the course of my life and what I want to do with it.

Since then, I’ve learned ways to not only minimize the material things in my life and cut my bills in half, but how to travel & volunteer longer and farther while spending little to NO money on housing and food.

In my vlogs & blogs I’ll share with you how you too can volunteer travel on any budget. I’ll share with you how practicing manifestation really helps in achieving your goals, no matter how big or small; travel hacks to get farther for cheaper; and how to make sure you are volunteering in an ethical manner. Because there are TONS of volunteer avenues you can take, volunteering ethically can get tricky. My goal is to educate you on the different ways to go about volunteering and how to choose the ideal cause that fits your needs and aligns with your personal ethical standard. Basically, I want you to learn from all of my mistakes to make your travels a little easier and more fulfilling.

I truly believe that you can do and be anything you want in this world. I know people say that a lot, and I think it’s a really great thing for people to share because I deeply believe in this. I also believe trying things out of your norm will help you to figure out who exactly it is that you want to be and what you want to do with your life.

Through sharing my adventures with you, I hope that the belief that we all can do and be anything we want in life will become as super real to you as it now is to me

The hardest part of getting what you want in life is figuring out what it is that you really want. Not what other people want or expect of you, but truly deciding what sets your soul on fire.

For many of us, it’s difficult because we’re influenced by all kinds of things. But by stepping past the needs of ourselves and out of our comfort zone to take a volunteer trip, we allow ourselves to grow and gain not only respect & understanding for different people & cultures, but self-appreciation for all we have to offer the world. That is the first step in getting you that much closer to deciding what it is you really want to do with your life and how to you’re going to leave your mark on this world.

It’s amazing how contributing to the world around us can be one of the best ways to contribute to ourselves and the greatness of our own future.
